Jaunts with Jack is a heart-warming memoir that begins with a fun-loving aunt taking her young nephew out on Sundays in her green Wolseley and getting up to all sorts of japes around rural Sussex. It describes their maturing friendship and the subtle changes as the years roll on, culminating in a complete role reversal when he takes responsibility for her entertainment in rural Scotland much later in her life. Reader comment:
“I thoroughly enjoyed Jaunts with Jack; very evocative and heart-warming, but without cloying sentimentality. She sounds a remarkable personality.”
