The Author was attracted to short stories, partly because he was assured by publishers that there was no market for them. But he observed that people appreciate a punchy, succinct read when they’re tired, or busy, or during their 20-minute morning and evening commutes.
In his daily life the Author often encounters situations that could lead to an excellent punchline for a short story. He then works back to create a story that concludes with his punchline.
Encouraged by the success of Tales of a Free Spirit, The Novice and Chicago Burns and other Side Trips, the author has now completed his quintet and hopes to add to the collection.
